cat with worms

Hi there. I've got a 2 year old bob tail cat who i think may have worms. Noticed a small white wriggling thing coming out of her anus, roughly the size of a grain of rice. Can i contract this from her and what is the most effective way to treat and prevent this? She is an indoor/outdoor cat. Should i deworm my other cat as well?

That definately sounds like a tapeworm.  To treat it, you need to go to the vet and get some pills to give her.  I have always used a pill called Cestex.  It is a wormer I got from the vet when my cat had tapes and it works great.
I would only deworm the other cat if you see any tapeworm segments on her as well.
