my kitten is just going into heat and what can i do to help her or clam her.

HI Jessica,

Cats can and should be spayed BEFORE they come into heat. Call your vet and schedule an appointment today! By going into heat you run the risk she could become pregnant (even if she lives indoors she will try to escape and find a mate) mammary cancer, uterine infection, and many other risks.

While you are waiting for the spay appointment you can try giving her some cooked turkey, which contains tryptophan and may make her feel a bit calmer. However when in heat all a cat can think about is mating!
