CAT STUCK IN TREE FOR 3 DAYS!

Hi,

My kitty Muffin that is 4 years old has been up a pine tree for the past 3 days! He was at about 10-15 ft when he ran up and we tried to get him down, then night came and we thought he would come down. We woke up the next morning to find our kitty 40-50 ft up the tree! We have put 4 cans of wet food at the base of the tree, a ladder about 10 feet rested agaist the tree, a can of tuna in the tree and have called him over and over and he has no come down!

I called our vet, humane society and tree workers and they al say he will come down. Will he?

Thanks for any help you can give, we want our kitty down the tree for xmas!

I am sure Muffin will eventually come down.  But, it would be much quicker if you could convince someone with a cherry picker tall enough and good thick leather gloves to go get the cat.

The food at the base of the tree is good for feeding all the other neighborhood cats, but not much use for Muffin.  Usually, when a cat gets hungry enough he/she will eventually come down.

Calling the cat will generally have no effect as cats know their names but are not interested in responding to it unless they want to.

You ought set up a bed and food for Muffin in a sheltered place in your garage or crawlway or car port or whatever for when Muffin does come down in case you are not around when she decides to come on down.

This is another reason I recommend keeping cats indoors all the time.
