male and female kitten

hi,

I have a female perian kitten (3 months old) and soon will have a male colopoint persian who is younger than my female ( 6 weeks old).
When does male and female cats reach puberty?
what can I do to prevent them from breeding on an early age? I do intent to breed them once they are old enough, so I won't have them altered. are there any other options for me to avoid them from mating at an early age?

I am sure you are looking forward to having your boy in the next few weeks.

Apart from keeping the two cats apart when you are not with them, you could also consider obtaining some stud pants for your boy which will then stop him having his wicked way.  I believe they are available in the USA.
