My male Bengal
I bought a male Bengal stud on the active registrar a week ago, he is an experienced male and aparenty has sires many litters. He is quite shy and is only beggining to trust me. My female queen has gone into heat 2 days ago and has been calling but when she aproaches him he just hisses and then ignores her. Is this commun as I have never seen this before. I am a novice breeder and wander if its because he is in a new home and is feeling uncomfortable. I dont think I have been conned as I have all his paperwork and was shown 2 of his daughters wich the breeder was keeping as potential queens ( Hence her selling him) Help

Moving a mature stud cat can be a little unsettling for the cat so you may need to give him a little longer to settle in and to trust you. Working with a stud cat is very much a partnership between cat and owner and he needs to know he can trust you.
I am not sure what your set up is but usually the stud cat would have his house and run and any visiting queens would have their own secure quarters, either adjoining the stud house or within the house so that the cats can get to know each other with the wire between them so that they both feel secure. Do try to ensure that something like this is available between your stud and queen so that they can get to know each other safely.
I am sure you have not been conned by the breeder you have had your boy from but without DNA testing you cannot be asolutely sure that the cats you have seen are his daughters. You also don't say how old this boy is, or what generation of breeding he is, which may have some bearing on the problem.
