QUESTION: Here are the 3 breeders in my area;
Coronado Cats
Maine Pride cattery
Cali Maine

I have actually never heard of any of these breeders, which is fairly odd.  What area do you live in?  Wish I could help with a recommendation but if you follow the advice I have you in the last post you should be OK.  Basically, use your common sence, and follow your gut!

QUESTION: I am in San Diego, CA. Coronado Cats advertises in Cat Fancy and I've met him and seen his cats at the cat show. He doesn't have a website.

The other two have websites.

What I though odd was that Cali Maine says that they will not place a kitten in a home where there will only be one cat. And Maine Pride does not seem to update their website.  Thanks!!

Hi again,

The fact that he shows is great but advertising in general does not make for a good breeder.  You really need to see the cattery to decide for yourself if this is a place you would like your kitten to come from.  Meeting the parents of your kitten is also important.
