Problems with litterbox

We have a 4 year old cat. He had a problem with spraying. We had him neutered a year ago and the problem stopped. We have NEVER had problems with him using his litterbox. But yesterday, he urinated on our carpet in the livingroom. Then today, he urinated about 1 foot from his litterbox. His litterbox is clean. Should this be something to worry about?

If it happens again, check with your vet. He may have a kidney or bladder difficulty. Or he might just be annoyed at you for something., It is up to the vet to make sure that he is healthy FIRST.
Then you can be concerned over his lapse of toilet manners.
