hypoallergenic cats

Hello Barbara,

I am looking for a cat to adopt but my boyfriend is allergic to cats and dogs and I am wondering if there is a breed that is hypoallergenic.

Hi,
There is absolutely no breed that is totally non-allergenic. Some are less allergenic than others. But all cause problems for people with serious allergies.
If your boyfriend is willing, he can get shots from his Allergist for his sensitivity to cats. Otherwise, wait until you have a different boyfriend to get a cat.
