Question
I bred my lab with a chocolate lab and she had 12 puppies. She only has 9 teats. Will she beable to feed all the puppies and if not how can I supplement their feeding?
Thanks

Answer
Hi Connie! Congrats on the pups!  I am a HUGE fan of labs!  They are wonderful dogs.
As for the puppies....
It is not uncommon for a lab to have large litters.  Your dog should be able to feed all the puppies.  The puppies don't always feed at the same time.  I know of dogs that have had litters as big as 16 and there were no problems.
If you see that some puppies aren't able to eat as much, you can bottle feed them with puppy milk replacer (NEVER cow's milk!) You can find puppy milk replacer at any pet store.  The puppies should be fed every few hours.  You more than likely shouldn't have a problem, but if you do, the puppy milk replacer works wonderfully.  It is also good for the mamma dog, as it is extremely fortified in vitamins and calcium and strengthens the mamma dog's system to feed all those pups!
Best of luck!
