My Kitten was bitten by the dog next door

Question
My kitten plays with the dogs next door daily but they were babysitting a Boston Terrier Dog and this dog attacked my cat.  My cat is in the hospital as we speak but I will be picking the cat up today.  I visited my cat yesterday and can't believe they are sending him home but none the less they are.  Festus is his name.  He is about 6 months old.  He only wakes up for about 10 minutes at a time looks up at me. meows falls back asleep does not seem to be responsive to my touch or talk unless I touch him in the bite area (back legs).  Not walking.  I have to put him in the litter pan.  No broke bones or internal injury, 11 puncture wounds, no appetite, will drink water, In pain when I touch him.  Will he come out of it?  Will he go back over where those dogs are if I am ever able to put him outside?  His fur is Knotted up and yucky from dog spit.  Can I wipe him down?  I love him so much and I am so scared that he will be so traumatized forever.  Will he eventually wake up more and respond to us?

Answer
Tonya, Make sure you call Animal Control knows about the bite.  The Boston terrier's owners should be aware of the aggressive bites and injuries.
Yes, your cat is in A Bunch of Pain and under pain medication.  Don't worry, in  a few weeks things will be much better.  Please follow your vets instructions.  Write to me if you don't understand any of it.. OK???
