Question
My labs just received shots & rabies, both shot sights are swollen, one of them, Max, in the area of the micro chip. They received their shots 4 days ago, Feb. 28,08, today is Mar.2nd. I noticed the swelling the day after the shots were given.  Is this normal?

Answer
Yes it can be normal. Give them a piece of baby aspirin and that will help with the swelling. Make sure you tell your vet the next time they have their vaccs that they had a reaction. You may want to give them a Benadryl each.
When you take them in for their yearly vaccs you may want to give it then too before you go in.
If it isn't gone in another day or so call the vet and tell them.
