cats oozing sores

cat's right cheek was very swollen. Last night noticed an open sore that was bleeding.  Today the swelling is gone but there is now another open, oozing and bleeding sore on her face.  Both sores are on her face, one near her eye the other near her whiskers.

Sincere apologies for the delayed response.

Sores can be a response to insect or spider bites, parasites such as various species of Mange, draining of abscesses, allergic reaction and rarely some cancers.  If the sores have healed since the swelling resolved I would lean on suggesting that it was an insect or spider bite.  However if sores are still present or have spread I would suggest having her seen by your veterinarian.  They can examine and test for parasites or other causes.
