noisy budgie

Hi, I have two budgies in the same cage and i am not sure what sex they are, but recently one of them has become very noisy.  It squawks all day, not nice little chirping noises but a very loud bird scream.  They don't physically fight but is it yelling at the other or could it be something else?  If you have any answers i would appreciate it, thank you, tammy

Hi Tammy.  It is mating season, and they tend to get much more talkative during this time.  Don't be alarmed if you see one of your birds has laid an egg.  If they are both females, they can still lay eggs, but the eggs can not be fertilized.  If they are male and female, you could end up with some babies!  Two males....well, no egg laying to worry about here!
