Question
QUESTION: My cat received her vaccinations this past week.  At the same time the vet flushed out her ears.  Once home, she disappeared for two days (never done this before). When we found her she was very wobbly and would even fall over while walking.  She also has one eye that is sleepy and the lid partially closed.  She has no signs of trauma from looking at her. I will be taking her back to the vet but wanted to see if this could be from the vaccinations or flushing of the ears.  She was fine prior to this.

ANSWER: Hello Deborah - yes, I am sure this problem is from the flush.  Why would they have done a flush???  I wonder if she had a problem with mites or an ear infection????
Now her middle ear is messed up.  Sorry, You will need to call and have them look for a ear infection..

****sorry you have to go thru this!

QUESTION: Thank you so much for the fast reply.  They did tell me her ears were dirty but there were no mites.  The vet gave me Mometamax to put in her ears for the next 6 days.  I have not put any in because of the way she is acting.  Do you think I should go ahead and put these drops in her ears?  I will be calling the vet Monday morning.

Answer
Oh Yes, this is an antibiotic and she must have an ear infection:
Mometamax - Once A Day Ear Treatment-  VERY good stuff - you should see results very soon..
Also, if you want to give her one dosage of Benadryl - that would be helpful just for today -
YOU can give 1-2mg per pound of her body weight...
10 lb cat can = 10-20 mgs of Benadryl

Hope this helps...

Marie
