four month old puppy

we have a four month old puppy who yesterday broke out in a red ringed rash on her underside, we thought is was ring worm, but this morning the red was gone and now there is white raised bumps all over her underside. She does not have any on her back or head. I have three young daughters, i don't know if i should allow them to hold her or get near her. How do i help her? Plese help

Hi Cecilia!Young puppies are very susceptible to bacterial skin infections. As she ages, her immune system will better deal with this problem. If she has red bumps, that may need treatment with an antibiotic. You need to have the vet look at the pup and prescribe medication based on the diagnosis. Hope this helps lots!Nicole.D.
