Question
Hello, I have a 12 year old Golden Retreiver and am pet-sitting for my daughter's Smoothe Fox Terrier/Australian Cattle Dog mix.  This morning Fergie (the terrier) was cruising around the back yard in circles at a very high rate of speed (as she normally does) however, Bailey (the Golden) interupted her flight path in an attempt to go to the bathroom and she clipped him on the side of the head at full speed. The sound was frightening (reminded me of football players smashing helmets -- not heads!).  Bailey was stunned but shook it off.  Is there anything I should watch for either today or this evening?  Thanks.

Answer
Hi Judy - Oh Boy!  Just watch for signs of her sleeping more than the usual.  Also, if you can flash a light, into her eyes, make sure the pupil is reactive to light.  What I mean by this is : The pupil will get big and then smaller as you flash the light back and forth.
