Fleet enemas in cats

Question
I have heard that you should not use Fleet enemas in cats. Is this true? If so why?

Answer
Hello Marie -

Yes, this true - Fleet enemas contain sodium phosphate which can cause severe metabolic disturbances internally and can even progress to death.

Should you need to use an enema on your cat please consult your veterinarian and NEVER use any enema that contains sodium phophates.

I hope this information has helped you.
