QuestionI have a Elba. dachsund and this morning found worms in his stool. I was told by a neighbor to give him some garlic and it would kill them, is this true and how much would I give him?!
AnswerHI Monica
Yes garlic will be helpful, but long term use can also irritate the digestive system. If you have a dog with very dry, red eyes, this too can be exaggerated if garlic is overused.
For some quick results add 1 - 2 cloves daily to meals for about a week or two. Then see how you go.
For best results and long-term use you may want to look at a herbal tablet called Herbal Compound Tablets. Or else there are a vast array of homeopathic animal worming solutions with garlic and black walnut as the main ingredients. These are very powerful. And you do not need to administer then daily - a couple of doses a year is sufficient.
These methods are far better than giving your pets chemical worming solutions.
I hope this is helpful.
