English Bulldog red chin

Question
My 3 year old bullie is on Royal Canin Bulldog formula.  In spite of feeding her from non-plastic dishes, she still has a red chin with sometimes the 'bullie acne'.  What product can I use for this condition?

Thank you, Nancy

Answer
Nancy - are you in the USA...?
I would be glad to offer you a new food to purchase in the local pet store... The Royal Canin is not the greatest food..
Also, we can deal with the Acne / virus, too.

Let me know where you are ( general location), and I can make some referrals for you.

Ok, The food she is on is OK - but it does have many grains and Low
Cost fillers in it. I would like you to slowly take her off of the
Royal Canin and go to Innova EVO ( grain free) or Wellness Core Or
the Merrick Brand also makes a Grain free food: All or most of them
can be found at your local pet store.

Do a 50/50 mix of the OLD food and the new food x 3 weeks...AFTER
that, you should be able to go 100% the New Grain free food. YOU
will feed less of this because it is grain free and much more
condensed.

To get rid of the Hot spots and sores ( or future hot spots ) ....
The food change over is Number 1...then, I will suggest a few
supplements to start her on. BEFORE you know it, the sores will
stop! As for the chin, some of the red is Yeast but also it is a
common virus for bullies. The pimples will stay for a few months and
then fall off. If they don't fall off the vet can remove them. It
is very common so don't worry if one pimple stays a long time.
It is just a Bullie FASHION statement....

Vitamin E-
I would like to see he go onto some Vitamin E 200 IU of Vitamin E -
just 1 per day - long term - great for healing the skin and the
pimples... I would give this for a few months...

Pure Salmon oil -
Next, Please give 1 tablespoon of Pure Salmon oil per day - mix on
top of her food.

Next -
NuVET Plus is the best Bullie Vitamin -- It will help to keep the
yeast away and reduce allergies... I am sure the problems you bullie
has had are Yeast and Immune system related.

NuVET Wafers are a immune system blaster and skin healer...
Also, helps joints and hips to stay strong and FREE from
injuries..... To help avoid the joint diseases, too.

You can start with 2 per day for 7 days, after that, she will need
just one NuVET wafer treat per day...

Here is the ordering link for NuVET -

I would like to see you get a 90 count and go on auto ship -
If you go onto autoship you will get 15% off each order.
You would get a 90 count every 90 days...
****talk to them about getting a little x-tra so you can do the 2 per
day for the first 7 days*****

Make sure you use my Name and VET code to order -

As far as the tea tree oil - great : wonderful in healing.

Tea tree oil works wonders..
JUST a very small amount.
