Question
Hi, my Chihuahua, Chico, is only a little over a year old.  When he was only 6 months old he started scratching his ear until it bled.  I took him to the vet and they told me he had fleas and was allergic to them.  We treated both the fleas and the ear and he seemed fine for a while.  He has started again.  Along with the scratching, he is licking in the air.  He does not have fleas so what could it be this time?  I feel so bad for him.  I have tried to clean out his ear and it doesn't help.  Any suggestions?

Answer
Chi with allergie / itching:
Hi - How is your little one doing?  Did you try the SoJo yet?
Glad you are going to try the supplements!
Talk to you soon...

Lana, I would love to help you too!  Let's get this kid onto some supplements and a new food, too.
How about some home cooking with "SoJo" - Grain free is great for a Chi's Allergies/ I bet that is what is going on !
I am going to supply you with some links ...
1.  Sojo - Add your own fresh or Lightly cooked meats
SEE SoJO here:  They now have a "new Sojo" with meat included:
**ships right to your door ( free shipping to many places) SEE here:

2.  Ok, I would love for you to put this baby on some Vitamin E - Just (1) of a 50 IU per day/ This is a CAT sized dosage...very small and safe.  Let you vet know you are giving a few supplements.
Most vets don't refer to supplements because they have little training in that area of pet nutrition.
I would give the Vit E for a month or longer.

3.  Oh, this baby needs some NuVET Powder Vitamin / Allergy blaster and Immune system booster / will help this scratching and allergy.
They offer a 60 day money back guarantee.

**
Just 1/2 a teaspoon in the am and 1/2 teaspoon in the PM>  NuVET Plus Powder is great for small picky dogs / just mix into the wet food or even into some dry food with canned pure pumpkin ....
Most dogs love the powder taste mixed into the food.
NuVET also has a wafer form...

Ok, as for the ear - NuVET makes a great HOT spot spray with TEA tree oil / only 7.00 per bottle.  MUCH relief when you spray it on.
Ask NuVET to send you a bottle of hot spot spray.
