Question
Hi Marie,

I have a pit bull mix (we think she is 2 yrs old) and she is not only a licker but she itches her back all the time.  It seems to be worse when I apply her frontline plus.  Her skin is bumpy and red.  The vet gave her cortisone pills and they made her uber pissy and she bit my other dog (whom she normally fawns over).  What to give her for relief?

Thanks,

Heather

Heather your gal is upset because she is so uncomfortable.  Yes, I have some ideas for her and you, too!

Let's get her onto a oil supplement to mix into her food.  Also, a wafer Allergy supplement and a good shampoo for relief:
Here are all the links to each product:
I am sure they will help this gal.

First, buy some vitamin E - give her (1) 200 to 250 IU (2 x per day) ( you can find this 200 or 250 IU pills at most stores)
Hide this in some cheese and give it to her for 3 weeks.

Next - get some Salmon oil and give her 1 tablespoon, mixed into her food, always - Pure salmon oil can be found at most pet stores.
Do this always ...great for skin, coat and her knees and hips.

Please get some NuVET for this kid /  This is one of the BEST allergy supplements and Immune System Boosters in the USA.

Loads of Pit bull breeders love this NuVET Product.
Call the office / manufacturer tomorrow and order a bottle.
YOU can get a 60 count every 2 months .....If you go onto autoship they will give you 15% off , always.
1-800-474-7044 TELL them Marie sent you and they will Ask for your VET code - give mine : order code 81098 ( vets and pet professionals )  You can't get nuvet in the Pet store...ONLY thru special offices and the company in California.
They also give you a 60 day money back guarantee.
So, no risk to try this SAFE and healthy product.

Also, when she has a Flair up - you can give 25 to 50 mg of Benadryl - this is just for when she is having a bunch of troubles.
It will take the NuVET and the Vitamin E a little time to kick in.
It will be worth it to give her a SAFE option in care.

Last is the TEA Tree oil shampoo / NuVET sells a wonderful Tea Tree oil shampoo at 9.95 per bottle.  YOU could give a bath in this 2 x per month or 3 x per month.
VERY helpful for red and itching skin with sores.
Ask the NuVET people about sending a bottle of TEA tree Hot spot shampoo.

Well, I sure hope this all helps - She must have some environmental allergies.  If you want to change her food let me know.  I can suggest a few good foods for this kid.

BEST wishes...
I hope this helps!
Keep in touch and let me know...
thanks
