pug flying to honduras

QUESTION: I am flying to Roatan, honduras, strait from the U.S. and thinking about bringing my pug.  Can you tell me what the protocol is?

Contact the USDA office right there in Sacramento.  They will need
to endorse paperwork anyway.
CO should also have necessary info. Call them at: 800.575.3738
Also, contact nearest Honduran consulate for updated info.
The general rule is: international health cert issued within 10 days
of travel and a valid rabies vac at least 30 days old and less than
1 yr.  Highly recommend dog be current with ALL vacs.
Microchip is an excellent idea, but may not be required.
