Dog traveling to US from BRAZIL

I've "adopted" a street dog here in Brazil. I'm an American with a travel visa. I will be returning home in December. Is there any way I can bring "Lola" with me. I know I could give her a great home. What would be necessary for me to do this?

There should be no problem bringing Lola back to USA.  Bring as
excess baggage would be much cheaper than as cargo.  You need to
get all these details directly from the airline you travel on.
For entry into USA, all you need is a health cert issued within
10 days of travel, and a valid rabies cert, at least 30 days old and
less than 1 yr.
