Moving My Cat back across Canada

Hi..My husband and myself are planning on moving back to Ontario and bringing our 2 year old cat.  I am looking at the differences in route to get us there.  We are travelling from Alberta.  If we chose to go through the states, what do I need to do to make sure my cat is ready for transport and for border customs?  We will just drive right through and only be in the states for a day or two and then going back into Canada. If you could let me know what is expected of me and whether this is a good choice for the drive.  Thanks and hope to hear from you soon.

Thanks for your inquiry!  The only requirements for importing a pet into the US are:

Health certificate within 10 days of flight
Current rabies vaccination

They will ask for this when you are clearing through customs.
