Tank Maintenance

Question
I have just gone through the cycling process (45 days) for a 50 gallon tank. I have 3 lbs of cured live rock that has been in the tank for 30 days , a candy annemoe. Yesterday, I purchased a small spotted puffer, small spotted grouper and small trigger. I plan on feeding frozen shrimp.  What maintenance regular maintenance do I need to do and what recommendation do you have for a long healthy tank?

Answer
Michael,
Now that the tank is cycled I would advise you to start doing regular 25% water changes on your aquarium every three to four weeks.

Clean your filter as recommended by the manufacturer and replace any carbon or resins every three to four weeks but not on the same day as your water change.

Clean algae on the glass as needed.  Typically weekly in a tank such as yours.

Best of luck with your tank!
