Blue starfish

Hi,


My blue starfish has been quite lethargic over the last few days. yesterday, it came down off the rocks onto the sand and ate some prawns that we put in for him to eat. he pushed his stomach out as expected but he hasn't pulled it back in. It has now been out for over 12 hours and he no longer seems to be moving. Can you suggest what i should do, or do you think it is too late for him and he should be removed from the tank?

i have tested the water levels and aside from slightly high salinity (due to evaporation but which is being rectified) everything else is fine.

Please help, i'm very worried about him!

If your water is alright, i would just play the waiting game. my sea urchin pulled off the same thing and didnt move for 5 days.

how long have you had him? theres a possibility hes passed on from age, but thats extremely unlikely. im guessing hes just taking a little mini vacation :) If hes still doing this in a few days, feel free to send me a follow up
