QuestionHi...I have had a weird disappearance of a fire goby. Placed in my nano tank
(14g) with two clownfish a day ago. Came home a day later to find no trace of it.
I have 3 or so large bristleworms (a few inches long each) that like to hide in the
rock as well as a couple spaghetti worms. Would these worms have attacked the
fish while sleeping?
AnswerHey Carlos
The worms shouldnt be the culprit, approximately 98% of bristleworms are harmless to other life, the other 2% are rarely found in home aquariums. Goby's are extremely good hiders, especially when they are new. I never saw my clown goby for a few months after i added him, they usually will find a hole in the live rock or some other crevice and sit there until they figure out that there are no predators in the tank. If you look at the tank 1 hour after you turn off the lights at night, you might see him leave his cave a few inches looking for food.
