Question
Hi there, i think my leather coral is dead, its gone a white colour(orange originally) and has wilted and has split open in the middle.
If this is the case and it is dead what do i do with it???
its living on live rock with feather "HEALTHY" feather dusters and anemones, dow do i get the leather off without harming the "HEALTHY" ONES???

PLEASE HELP .....

Answer
Hello Emma,

Dont get to upset yet... I am not convinced it is dead or is even stressing...  LEathers freak out once in a while.  They get all wilty, and shriveled, and the skin turns all white and starts peeling and shedding, and 'ulcers' may appear, and pieces may fall off, The skin may turn 'waxy', but in two weeks, it will look all lovely again...

How big is the leather, and how big is your tank.

What else do you ahve in your tank, what type of system do you have, what filtration, lighting, etc...

What are your water paramters...?

good luck and keep your chin up...
