New Tank Cloudiness

I just put sand in my tank and it is really opaque. I have the filters running but it isn't helping at all. What can I do?

Alex,

When did you place your sand in the tank ?
In my experience it takes about 72 hours for everything to settle. There may have been a lot of dust in with your sand that makes your tank look cloudy, if so it will settle.

Did you use reef sand or a marine sand used for marine tanks
reef sand is finer so it may a liitle longer.

I hope you dd not use beach sand if you did it may or may not become  clear due to the silica in the sand.
