Question
I have a large garden fish pond that holds a large Koi and about twenty golfish of varying sizes.I live in the tropics. There is an influx of the white-fly or moth on the waterplants. Can white-oil be sprayed on the plants, or will it effect my fish. Failing the use of the oil, what else would you suggest.

I really don't have any experience with outdoor ponds. I know in fish tanks there should never be oil on the water. It can suffocate the fish because it blocks gas/oxygen exchange at the surface. You might want to find a garden center with fish pond supplies that knows what they are doing. Or, there are some online resources you might check out. Here's one I found that looks interesting;
