What other fish can i put with fantail goldfish

I have two small fantail gold fish in a five gallon tank, can I put any other fish in with them and if so how many?

I put three angels in once and the angels died within 8hours so I know not those.

Goldfish are cold water fish remember that. So they can be housed with other coldwater specie fish. Other goldfish would probably be your best bet. Do not house them with tropical fish that you see in petstores as both fish have different water temperatures.

I would suggest getting a ten gallon instead of the 5, unless you are doing fairly frequent water changes. Remember that goldfish produce alot of waste and even with a good filter (which you should have) water quality can fail fast.

Learn more about the fish you buy (the angels maybe you did not have warm water for them so they died in cold water)

But to recap, stay with these two fish for now.. i suggest upgrading the aquarium to keep your fish healthier...Dont house anymore then the 2 goldfish in there, because fish grow... remember.
