Balloon Molly gave birth to 2 fry, and stopped. What now?

Question
Hi, I'm new to here and I had some problems with my new pregnant fish. I need your expertise in fish breeding/caring. Thanks in advance.

I bought a pregnant balloon molly yesterday. This morning, it gave birth to 2 fry. Yes, 2 fry only. It is very very rare. I know there were only 2, since I watched it closely.

Then when it seemed the mother stopped giving birth or just taking a long break, I fished the two baby fry out into a nursary small tank.

But then, that's it.... no more fry! The mother now still has a big belly, with black mark at the bottom of the belly, and she is still very active (which is good). She still eats, and poos a lot. But only 2 fry. very very rare.

Okay, the questions are:

Is it because that I scared her in the process so she aborted her pregnancy? And so no more fry.
Or, are those 2 babies just prematured ones that happened to hatch early? If so, will more fry come out soon?

The two fry seemed extremely small to me. I had a litter of balloon molly fry before, about 25 of them, 18 are still alive now, 9-week-old and very healthy and big! Anyways, compared to the previous litter (not from same mother), these 2 fry are too small.

So, any idaa? I'm in such deep guilty that I think I've murdered so so many little babies. And I hope you can tell me and help my fish. Thank you in advance.

Answer
Hi!
It is unusual that your balloon molly only had 2 fry. This could be either because she is young, or she has been stressed or she just happened to have 2 fry in her brood. I'm certain she will have more very soon. I don't think its anything you've done. The mother molly is healthy and you have 2 little babies from her and soon to be more I'm sure! ;-)

Just give her some time. Something may have gone wrong internally that caused the little preemie fry.

Best wishes and I hope this helps!
Happy holidays,
Karen~
