I am VERY NEW to the fish world.  I have a 10 gal heater tank with 3 angels, 3 guppies, 1 algae eater.  Do I need to put Aquarium salt in the water?

To answer your question, no you don't have to add Aquarium salt to your water. Some people do but it is totally unnecessary so I wouldn't recommend it unless you are treating for disease.

On the subject of your tank size and the fish you have in it....Angelfish require a minimum of a 20gallon tank for a pair and prefer tall tanks because of how tall they are. To put it bluntly your tank is too small for them and they will outgrow it very quickly!
