Freshwater Sharks

Question
I currently have a 155G tank, and freshwater sharks are my thing. I Currently have 1 Rainbow shark, 1 Albino Rainbow shark, 1 Redtailed Black shark,  1 Black shark, 2 Bala sharks, and a Senegal bichir (Surprisingly they're doing all well together aside from some chases every now and then). I was wondering if maybe you knew of any other freshwater sharks besides the ones I have, and the Catfish lookin' ones? I've found a few (Chinese Hi-finned shark, Variegated shark) but I know there atleast a few more. Can you help?

Answer
Hi Ruben,

Sorry for the long response time.

Here's a list of Freshwater sharks, please note, these are 'true' sharks, which are entirely freshwater. They are actually quite rare, and I don't think that many aquarium stores will have them.

Ganges shark
New Guinea river shark
Speartooth shark
Irrawaddy River shark
Bizant river shark
Borneo river shark

Remember, these are TRUE freshwater sharks.

Bala sharks, red-tailed sharks, etc. are actually species of freshwater minnows which 'resemble' sharks.

Some of those include the ones you said above, plus

Silver Shark
Apollo Shark

I hope this helps!
