mateing convicts

ive been trying to mate my convicts every time i put a male and a female together they keep fighting this is my forth pair ive tried i dont know whats wrong.ive breed them in the past ....???

Answer
It is really hard to breed convicts in the tank, if there is not many hiding places for them. This fish loves to fight. it's their nature. You have to make close notice on them for that which one of them is love to fight. You have to keep him/her in other tank for some days of have to cut his/her pelvic fin to stop doing this ! You will see very soon they will be friendly and breed will not be in problem. Thanks. Good Luck.
