dinosaur eels

Question
I have a dinosaur eel and a red belly pacu in a tank together. They have no problem getting along. I was wanting to know if I could put a water crab in there without it being ate or a snail.

Answer
Hey Debbie,

I'd think a red claw crab should be able to survive the larger fish, because it is a fairly large crab in itself, and a nice Gold Inca snail would be a tough shell to crack, but snails are A-sexual, and reproduce like mad. Not a great pick for a home tank. I guess if the dino and the pacu are small, they'd be fine. If we're talking a 14 inch eel, and a 16 inch pacu, They'll eat just about anything in that tank.

Hope this helps, and best wishes.
