acquarium vs terrarium

Question
I have two acquatic turtles which have outgrown their acquarium (10 gallon)  A friend gave me a 20 gallong terrarium to move the turtles into.  I am not sure that a terrarium would be able to hold the amount of water that I would need to fill it with (2/3 full).  Can a terrarium be filled with water and used instead of an acquarium?

Hi Lakshmi: Please don't use the terrarium as an aquarium as eventually all the water in the terrarium will be out on your floor.  What you can do is to leave the ten gallon tank as their swimming pool and set up the terrarium as their play ground... the place where you feed them, where they sun bath, etc. hope this helps... dave
