swollen lips

my gold angle fish has large swollen looking lips, it looks like it is having an
allergic reaction. this has been like this for a few weeks

Hi Suzie
Do you have more then one angel fish in the tank, or other cichlids?  If so, it's possible they're fighting or doing the mating dance.  It's common cichlid behavior to lip lock with each other as part of their mating thing.  They'll also do this when fighting.  If that's the case, then you need to figure out which they're doing, and it may be necessary to separate them if it's fighting behavior, or if the tank isn't large enough, invest in a larger tank.  

If that's not what's going on with them, it could be an infection.  Off hand, columnaris comes to mind, but without other information or symptoms, I wouldn't jump to that conclusion at this point.
