fish too large for aquarium

Question
I have 4 freshwater fish in what was once a large enough aquarium. I have had the fish for several years. I really can't tell you what kind they are. 2 were given to me. I can only tell you that one is some kind of catfish, one is what I call a sucker fish (eats the algae off the sides of the aquarium), one is a "silver dollar" fish, and the other looks like a perch-type fish. They seem to be healthy, but I don't want to get a larger tank. If they keep growing, I don't know what to do with them. I can't just toss them out and I don't want them to have to live in a tank they can't swim in.
Thanks,
Paula

Answer
Hi Paula,
I do have a guess as to what types of fish you may have according to your description. But could you email me pictures of the fish? If you can set the next reply to "Private" I'll post my email address. Either that, or if you could use one of those photo sites like photo bucket and past the links to the pictures here would also work.

One thing is do you think any of the local petstores would be willing to take at least some of the large fish off your hands for you? Sometimes they will.

I just need to know exactly what species we are dealing with. I will do my very best to help!

Best of luck!
Karen~
