how to set-up an isolation tank, should there be medication in it?

Is the fish sick right now?  Or is it a quarentine tank for new fish? If you notice no signs of sickness, transfer a bit of filter media from your main filter and put it in the filter in the new tank...place heater, substrate and decorations in and you have a pre set up isolation tank ready for quarentine your new fish
