prengnant fish

i have a mickey mouse fish who i think is pregnant. she has a belly and you can see black dots in her belly and alittle orange. i have her sperated in one of the containers from petsmart. i am not sure how long she has been pregnant for. i am wondering is it ok that i have her in there, i don't want her to freak out being in there too long. i put a fake plant in there to comfort her more. how long can she stay in there?

I presume you mean Mickey Mouse Platy. Put her back into her normal tank. Unless you have a filter and heater in the container from Petsmart, you are going to be stressing her out and if she is pregnant, it's the last thing she needs. Take her out of the container and put her back into your main tank. Chances are if she spits her babies while in the container, that the fry wouldn't survive because the water conditions won't be great and the confined space could actually make her eat the fry.
