i was wondering if you know if the natural antibiotic called melafix is safe to use on my axolotls damaged tail fin to prevent infection?   cheers :)

I am very sorry but this animal, the axolotls, is a type of salamander/amphibian; therefore, I have very little knowledge about them. However, unless the treatment specifically states it is safe for amphibians, such as axolotls and frogs, I would not use it for this animal. I would suggest asking an expert in reptiles, they may be more knowledgable than a fish expert. Yes, they live under water but I have never had one and do not know much else than the basics.
