Fry tank.

I have finally got my first fry batch.They are yellow labs(African cichlids).I have about 20 of them in a ten G aquarium.The tank has finished cycling about 3 weeks ago and i haven't touched the gravel in like 2 months because of the cycle.My question is Richard,Is the gravel now safe to be cleaned with the gravel vacuum?am i risking starting the cycle over if i do this?This goes for my adult aquarium as well,being that they started cycling at the same time.You see i want to rearrange the decor. in the adult tank but was wondering if im risking any valuable bacteria from being moved.Thankx Richard i would really appreciate you help.

You should have left the babies with the parents in the big tank. African Cichlids will care for and protect their babies.

Next, the gravel can and should be cleaned. After 2 months, the tank should be cycled. Rearranging the decor in your main tank should only be done when adding new fish. Doing so disrupts the territories that the fish have claimed.
