Glowlight Tetra injury

Question
Hello,

For reasons too long to go into depth, I have 3 glowlight tetras that withstood a 5 hour car ride to my home last night.  Two of them seem fine, but one I noticed has inflammed gills.  They are red and inflammed, and his breathing seems a little labored.  My guess is he suffered from hypoxia from the lack of oxygen in the bag during the long car ride.  He made it overnight and looks slightly better.  Is there anything I can do to improve/treat this injury?  Water changes?  I have an established 20 gallon planted community aquarium.  Thank you!

Answer
I think you are on the right track. If I was you, I would add an airstone to your tank to pump the oxygen levels right up. Also perform a 50% water change after a few days if he doesn't look any better. The airstone first off though, the more oxygen you can get in the water, the better.
