Question
Hi, I have a 3-month old 35l aquarium with a large piece of driftwood. Theere is  a white/transparent growth appearing on the wood. It's not usual algae, its colourless and has general tree-like shapes. Not slimy. The biggest pieces are about 4cm long. It doesnt come of easily (cant be vacuumed). How do I get rid of this? The water - pH 7.8, NH4 = 0, NO2 = 0, NO3 = 15, T=26-28C. Light 8 hrs a day, fish - 2 endlers guppy, 1 killifish, 3 kuhli loaches.  Thank you!

Answer
hello katia,    The growth is a type of tree or plant fungus. It feeds on dead or dying wood. This can happen in an aquarium if the wood has not been cured. The link below can tell you much more than I could type here.....

For now reach in and pull them off. Will not harm your fish and the growth has noting to do with your water conditions.
