help my turtle

QUESTION: My baby yellow belli turtle just stoped eating and it used to be very active but now just floats on the log in its tank.does it need more sunlight, I let him outside a few hours a week.

ANSWER: Hi Michael: Turtles need sunlight daily.  You should get him a UBA bulb to help stimulate his appetites... Offer him frozen blood worms and see if he will eat those... keep me posted ... dave

QUESTION: I asked another Expert the same question and they took me to a site that said it could possibly be a Respiratory Infections, do you know how to help my turtle

it is very difficult to diagnose fish or turtles without seeing them.  If it is a wild caught turtle then you should know that most of those die in captivity because they stop eating... If it is just not eating... you may need to increase the temperature in its environment and make sure it is getting  UVA light.  It could be a respiratory infection, etc.  dave
