thank you for yoor time.

Answer
Hi Kenny,
While the choices of fish in a 2 gallon are quite limited. There is one fish...

Bettas are my top choice for a tank that small. They are calm and naturally territorial fish so they do fine in tanks by themselves. They are hardy and easy to care for. They have specific needs but they aren't hard to meet.

A good quality diet with variety. A staple of betta flakes supplemented with frozen foods like glassworms, bloodworms, brine shrimp ect.. is best. An occasional bit of a green pea is good to provide fiber.

Water changes are important with any fish. Bettas thrive in tanks that receive at least twice weekly water changes of about 30-50% at a time cleaned with a gravel vacuum. Make sure the always treat the new water with a good water conditioner and make sure the temp is equal or just a bit warmer than his tank.

Don't let bettas get cold. They do best at temps of about 75-80F. Keeping them in a warm but not too warm spot in the house works well.

That's basically all there is to keeping bettas in general.

You could also consider non-fish residents for your 2 gallon.

*African Dwarf frogs or Ghost shrimp make interesting tank inhabitants for small tanks.

Best of luck! I hope this helps!
Karen~
