Warts(?) on angel fishs mouth

Question
About 6 weeks ago I noticed one of my two angel fish's mouth looked swollen. Now it has developed into looking like wart clusters.  She eats very little and is thin.  Her long tail fins are fraying and her front fins have a little bit of film on them, but not much.  The only angel fish looks 100%.  Now tonight one my my cory cat fish has a bulging, white eyeball...any suggestions?

Answer
Hi Susan,
Although I've never encountered this condition before, it sounds like a lip fibroma, which is known to occur in angels. You can read a bit about it here-

According to most advice, the treatment for lip fibromas is tricky and while there is really no cure for the virus, removing it has been done but is not something I feel comfortable advising you on. Sometimes if the poor fish seems miserable and has a poor quality of life, euthanasia through the humane clove oil method is best.

As for the cory. His condition might be an indicator that your water quality or overall environmental conditions aren't the best. Sounds like he has popeye and cloudy eye. While both conditions can be caused by injuries. Poor water quality is usually more to blame. The best thing to do in this case is start a very frequent water changing schedule of about 50% every to every other day for a while and if conditions don't improve after several days, medication like an antibiotic (such as those made by mardel) could be tried.

Best wishes and I'm sorry for all the bad news... :(
Karen~
