Pink convicts

Question
I have 5 convicts,1 guarmi and 2 algea (cleaning fish) and 2 of my pink convicts had some fry today (02-20-07) I was just wondering will the mom and dad eat them or just let them try to keep the other fishes away. Thank You

According to everything I have read they are supposed to be really good parents and very protective of their babies. Just make sure they don't get too protective and too aggressive to the other fish in your tank. If so you might have to move the other fish out until the babies are  older.  
Also, don't forget to get some baby brine shrimp to feed the babies. You can also try taking some flake food and putting it in a small plasitc bag and crushing it into small pieces and see if they will eat this. They will grow faster on the baby brine shrimp.Be sure to do frequent water changes to make sure the water stays really clean since you will have extra waste from all the babies and the extra food you will be feeding them.
