25 gallon cichlid tank

Question
I am about to set-up a 25g cichlid tank, but before I do I need some pointers.  I am aware that dwarf of small cichlids are the best choice for the tank...How many dwarves should I be putting in a tank of that size? Which dwarves are most compatible?  Can I put other species in the tank, such as a loach or an angelfish, without problems?  I would love to throw some more aggressive cichlid's in the tank, but I fear I would be seeing some territory problems in a tank of that size.  Any information would be helpful, thank you.

Answer
Dear Steve,

I would recommend the Kribensis, aka kribs.  One of my tanks is a 29 gallon that houses a mated pair of kribs.  They are very fascinating to watch.  They are also extremely easy to breed.  They can take care of there young all the way to adulthood even though best to remove them after they are old enough to wonder off by themselves.  This way they can pair up.
If you do get Kribs it is much easier if you buy a pair that are already proven breeders.  If you pair them yourself there are times when the male will attack the female.
I currently have these fish in a tank with about 30 guppies.  They get along fine.  The guppies stay close to the top and the kribs stay on the bottom.  I have also kept them with Corys.  I wouldn't suggest adding an Angelfish with them.
I had a 100 gallon tank with kribs in it and added some angels and as soon as the angels hit the water the kribs came out and grabbed them by the tail and started dragging them back into there cave.  It was brutal!!!
